I, Tamara Elaine Brooks, was born in 1986 , the last
of four children. Throughout my High School years I was active in many
extra-curricular activities and academics.
One of my most rewarding accomplishments was becoming
a large advocate for the AMBER ALERT Plan, since the summer of 2002. It is a
plan to find missing children and return them safely to their families by using
the help of the general public and media. During this period I have shared my
story with Congressmen, attended conferences, participated in interviews, spoke
with the President of the United
States of America ,
and had the privilege to be on stage as President Bush signed the AMBER ALERT
Plan into law in the Rose Garden. To this day I plan to further my advocacy,
with the National Center for
Missing and Exploited Children, for the AMBER ALERT.
These are the accomplishments, as well as the
goals and aspirations, I have.
